£1.5m Farmhouse For £395k?...

...sounds like a bargain, right? But where is it?...

We spotted this very interesting property story in The Sun newspaper today (Tuesday 23 July), a six-bed farmhouse on the market for £395k.

For some, that's an awful lot of money, but according to the estate agent it's a bargain - if you're happy to live in the middle of an industrial estate!

The Farm House at Copse Farm, South Marston once stood in 370-acres of prime farmland, but was requisitioned in 1943 to build the Vickers aircraft factory.

That has now become the Honda carplant, with the South Marston industrial estate surrounding it.

The surveyors believe the farmhouse would be worth nearer £1.5million if it was in a village.

The property goes to auction on 15 August.

Full details including the building's fascinating history can be found via the links below.
